Bats' Patrons Group
Nowadays many people doesn't know a lot a bout bats. Sometimes they perceive them as strange and dangerous creatures flying above their heads. There are also may legends and myths about bats which don't say the whole truth about the animals which have been living on the Earth from about 50 million years.
Some pupils and teachers from our school wanted to help bats to survive in this times. They also wanted to make people not to afraid of them. And this way the Bats' Patrons Group was established in our school in 1996. The Group operates in the south of Poland, especially in Beskid Sadecki. The Group's activities are based on its members' welfare work.
Now The Group has its own statue which specifies the tasks of The Group's members, who are obligated to:
- form a friendly attitude towards bats by spreading the social education and active protection of those mammals,
- taking parts in the monitoring of bas,
- taking their own observations of the bats' natural environment
Another important thing is that any corporate body or a physical person can become a member of the Bats' Patrons Group. So it is not important, who you are and what you normally does. If you simply want to learn about the live of the bat and the ways to protect it, you can become a member of our school's organization.
The activity of the Bats, Patrons Group are managed by the Board consisting of:
- the Chairman,
- the Assistant Manager,
- the Treasurer,
- the Secretary,
- two members.
The Bats, Patrons Group's funds constitute:
- the membership fees,
- the sponsors' services,
- donations, subsidies, grants,
- the proceeds from performances and collections.
This funds can be used to carry out the aims of the Statues and the organization.
